The Silverbrook Farm is a fully operational agriculture facility serving the Southern New England Region.
Family owned and operated for nearly two decades, with their famous homemade Pies, Horse Drawn Hayrides, Expanding Produce and Livestock Programs, and colorful seasonal Events, Silverbrook Farm is becoming the standard in traditional products and entertainment.
Operating with the motto, “Start a New Family Tradition at Silverbrook Farm!”, Silverbrook strives to hold dear the values and components of traditional New England living while incorporating the updated attractions of the modern day.
Growing up next to his grandparents in Rochester, Massachusetts, JJ Pereia learned at an early age how to farm and raise livestock in New England. It was this early exposure that lead to a desire to make farming his career for the rest of his life.
After graduating from Vermont Technical College with a degree in Landscape Design and Horticulture, JJ returned home and began working with his father in the family landscaping business.
In 1998, JJ purchased a large farm located at 934 Main Street in Acushnet, Massachusetts calling the land Silverbrook as the previous owners had done for years before.
Originally purchased to be the home of Pereira Landscaping, JJ realized he was able to fulfill his dream of farming and began to grow produce at 934 Main, which he would sell at a small farm stand at the far end of the property. At first, this little stand was just a hobby for JJ and his family, but as positive word of mouth grew, he found his business growing quickly. It was at this time that Silverbrook Farm became a reality.
As operations grew, JJ began offering family activities such as Farm Animals and Horse Drawn Hayrides along with innovative new agricultural programs such as the Produce and Livestock CSA.
To this day, Mr. Pereira instills a sense of traditional values into Silverbrook’s exceptional produce, events and work ethic by offering one unanimous suggestion to its guests, “Start a New Family Tradition at Silverbrook Farm.”
Nick Ciaccio, grew up by farms his entire life, and in doing so he realized one thing...he wanted nothing to do with them.
After graduating from Millikin University in Decatur, Illinois in 1997 with a degree in Communications and Marketing, Nick began public speaking for National academic organizations specializing in Leadership Development, Communications and Diversity.
In 2000, Nick settled into New England where he became manager of Training and Development for a major Boston law firm, and later moved into managing the Paralegal department for a leading intellectual property firm.
Nick visited Silverbrook Farm for the first time in the Fall of 2009, and on his first visit he was amazed by the serene nature and overwhelming beauty of the property, and he knew he needed to be apart of it. From that day, Nick knew that his vow to dislike farming had come to an end.
In 2010, Mr. Ciaccio became Business Partner to JJ Pereira and together they began the creation of new Agriculture and Entertainment programs at Silverbrook by adopting the work ethic and passion that has helped Silverbrook grow since the very beginning.
